Keenan Dreams in Digital
We built the computers to serve our needs, to do things to make our lives easier. But the machines that once served us, have become the machine that we serve. We no longer create art for ourselves, we create it in hopes of being rewarded by the algorithm. When we can make art for ourselves and our community, we bypass the algorithm, we shift the power from the machine to our community, when we make art that defies the algorithm.
This is dedicated to the lost art of the personal website. From the time when creativity was gospel, before Facebook absorbed and commercialized our image. Here I allow myself to exist. This is a series of digital images, digital art if you will. The pursuit of the unknown ... wading through the mysterious, diving into the mystical, exploring the impossible. Seek the truth in the light. Anti-Archist is a visuals series about corruption, creation, destruction, and power. The corruption of power, the creation of power, the destruction of power. Empty Idols is about the powerful global elite that benefit from power. When we seek to preserve the universe as it is we cannot see what it can become. We see the plants as immortal, living in the circle of life, never ending, but they do not just stay the same, they evolve. As we move into the age of bits bytes and qubits, everything moves with us, as humans we are not the end, we are just a part of the whole. As the world becomes more global, corporations lead the way, they connect the world. There sole interest is making money, enriching investors on the backs of the workers, who's only stake is the minimum wage salary that is replaceable.
