It is an unusual experience indeed. Living in Japan is not as easy as I expected, the language although I understand it, communication is very limited. The studying in class can be grueling the intensity of the class this semester has seem to subdued.

I find I am spending a lot of time alone. Although Occasionally I spend time with my friends from the school, I find myself craving a real community. Everybody is very nice here, but not exactly what I was expecting.

My friends are very kind and I appreciate them so much, but I do feel kind of left out as my friends are all Chinese and their conversations almost always end up with them speaking with each other in Chinese and me keeping to myself.

There are people from other countries, such as France and Madagascar, but they seem to only want to talk in Japanese, and my level is just not high enough. I am thinking of moving to Tokyo, I think the Kanazawa countryside is lacking a foreigner community.
