There are memories that we cherish and those that we would rather forget. I recently went by my old school Long Beach City College and saw they were the demolishing the music building. It was sad to see this, as I had spent years in this building through the recording engineering program as well as music theory program, before my shift to visual arts. Some memories I cherish, others I choose to forget. So to see this be destroyed brought me a bit of sadness for the past, something that we can only live in memory.

As I find myself moving Japan, maybe for a short period, maybe a long time, I find myself grasping to the memories. But also I have much excitement and anticipation of what is to come. Once the demolishing is over, they will build it up again. Just as I am tearing my life down, in hopes to build it up again better than before.
