Back in The USSA (aka USA)
I am coming back to the America, and there is no turning back. I was in Japan for just shy of 2 years and I had a great time. It was truly a life changing experience and I look forward to the next chapter in my life.
Thoughts On Japan
While I had a great time living in Japan it was not without struggles, I spent a lot of time alone as well with all the friends I made while there. Everybody was so easy to get along with, although making friends with the locals was not as easy as you would think, or as easy as you think, it was hard. If you don't know Japanese your friend pool becomes very small. I think moving to Tokyo was the best thing for social aspect, especially living in a share house.
The language on it's own is complex and after learning it for over two years I thought I would have a stronger grasp, but I guess I'm not a language guy, I am more of an artist anyways. I will write a longer post about my experience in the future.
Coming Back
I realize that in the grand scheme of things 2 years isn't that long, but it seems that coming back, something is just different. Life seems more comfortable here, more relaxed, I don't have to worry about my resident status, or how I am going to find a job, with my limited japanese. It is nice to be back here in America, where I know I will be understood and simple things like paying the bills are simple because it's all in English. Well anyway we will see where things go from here, whats next in this journey called life.
